My name is Gary Key, I am a freelance translator and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (www.iol.org.uk), the UK’s professional body for translators. I provide a high-quality and affordable translation service in the following languages:

Chinese to English
French to English
Italian to English

Language Expertise and Work Experience

I have a BA degree in French and Italian and five years’ working experience in China. Whilst in China, I lived in Xi’an and in Shanghai and gained translating experience in the telecommunications and tourism fields. I also met my wife whilst living in Xi'an !

I have a number of years’ experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language, and was recently awarded the Trinity Diploma in EFL in September 2005.

Work Attitude

I see myself as a dedicated and professional translator who provides quality work while respecting deadlines. I am fully aware of my strengths and weaknesses and I only take on projects which I am confident in. I translate into my native language only.

2000 words per day. My working hours are very flexible and I may work on weekends depending on the projects involved.
